Your steps, your ammo

Walk outside. Survive inside.

What you walk out on the street is the only thing that moves you inside the game. Without steps there is no getaway, no shelter, no cure.

You play it by walking

Your phone counts your steps while you get on with your day. You don't have to look at the screen to move.

The world doesn't stop

The hordes keep walking and the shelters change hands even when you close the app.

With the radio open

Other survivors walk the same map you do. You can warn them, ask for help or keep quiet.

How it works

Walk outside, spend inside

Zombie Hikers doesn't ask you to stare at your phone while you walk. It asks you to walk.

Go out and walk

Heading to work, walking the dog or going around the block. It all counts and it all goes into your step bag.

Come back with the bag full

Open the game whenever you feel like it. The steps are waiting there, ready to spend.

Decide where to spend them

Take the short road, go around a horde, or reach the shelter before dark.

The world

A map that stays alive without you

Roads, abandoned houses, hiding spots and a research center where somebody is still looking for the cure. Every place has its people, its risk and its reward.

The search
